Comments (especially Re: UK Cuts)

I’ve had a few people point out that they’d like to comment on some of the things I’ve written about the UK ‘austerity’ cuts and university funding.

I remember I disabled all comments on my various blogs because I was getting loads of annoying spam stuff and also some threats of physical violence (I also blog on the touchy subject of Bruce Lee – no, really: you’d be surprised how strongly people feel about Bruce Lee. And about Badiou. For some utterly inexplicable reason. But there you go.).  But I have switched the settings now, so you should be able to comment on posts now.

However, you don’t need to tell me: tell your MPs, tell the media, tell your friends and family. Tell them to read this:

Professor Greg Philo's recent article in the Guardian in August outlined his proposal to pay off the national debt via a one-off tax on the wealthiest 10% of the population.

Professor Greg Philo's proposal to pay off the national debt via a one-off tax on the wealthiest 10% of the population which appeared in the Daily Finance on the 11th November 2010. A YouGov poll indicated that 74% of the population would favour this one-off tax.
