2020 Conference: Martial Arts, Religion & Spirituality


Hi. This is just a quick one, to point out that although this year's annual conference has not even taken place yet, we are already open for abstracts and proposals for next year's annual conference.

This year's conference theme is 'Martial Arts, Culture and Politics', and it takes place over 23rd and 24th May in Chapman University, California. The schedule for this event is now taking shape, and tickets are still available on request. (Email me and I'll sort it out).

However, next year's conference theme is 'Martial Arts, Religion and Spirituality', and this will take place in Marseilles, France, hosted by Université d'Aix-Marseille, 22-23 July 2020. The call for papers is here.

Get your thinking caps on! Maybe we can discuss ideas for 2020 while watching the Disneyland fireworks display visible from Chapman University...
