We are delighted to announce the publication of Issue One of a new journal from Cardiff University Press - Martial Arts Studies.

Martial Arts Studies is a fully refereed, peer reviewed, open access academic journal, published twice a year. It has an eminent international editorial advisory panel, and is edited by Dr Paul Bowman in the UK and Dr Benjamin N. Judkins in the USA. The editorial assistant and book reviews editor is Kyle Barrowman, and the designer is Hugh Griffiths.
